We have taken quite a lot of time reflecting this year, and are in the middle of research for our new play,
Take On This.
We are happy to share that this super-fresh new play has so far been Longlisted for the Barbican's Open Lab residency and Shortlisted for Upstart's DARE Festival!
We look forward to share this radical new play.

Marcus to Premiere at
VAULT Festival 2020
After 2 years in development, The Magnificent Mind of Marcus is due to Premiere at VAULT Festival 2020.
A dark comedy about an Argentine man in mid-life crisis following the death of his Grandma, Marcus looks at how we label ourselves and others.
Supported using public funding from Arts Council England, ARC Stockton, Arcola, the Albany and Theatre Deli.
EVROS back on Tour
June-November 2019
Following our busiest year of international touring, Evros is back on the road, starting performances in Refugee Week this June. With performances across England, and supported with funding from Arts Council England and Black Country Touring.

Following our run at Arcola this October, Evros | The Crossing River will take to the road - and the air! This November, Seemia will be heading to Kampala International Theatre Festival, Uganda, and then to Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Wales.

We are honoured to have been presented with Summerhall's Lustrum Award at this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Presented by Summerhall's Artistic Director, Robert McDowell, Evros was noted as "One of the greatest moment's at this year's festival!"

Incoming/Exodus

Seemia's Charlotte, Cheryl and Robin collaborated with The Lab Collective with their utopian interactive politic piece, Incoming Exodus. The audience choose which of the on-screen characters their wish to be permitted into their not-too-distant fictional London. Migrants and Borders in a heated performance-debate. Performed at CPT Oct 2017 and Latitude Festival 2018.
AWAKEN

Cheryl has been writing for two years as part of the Create Project, creating an epic story of woman caught in three strikingly different worlds and times. AWAKEN is supported by The Actor's Temple

Charlotte performed in Shirin Majd's Rebirth, a mix of Persian poetry, music and dance at Arts Depot.
This August we will be presenting Evros at Fourth Monkey's new home, The Monkey House, as part of Camden Fringe.

With support from Arcola Theatre, Theatre Delicatessen and Tangled Feet, Seemia Theatre have successfully been awarded a Grant for the Arts award to develop

After working for a year and presenting a 10 minute scratch at BAC, Seemia successfully applied for a year-long mentorship from Tangled Feet, giving advice such as marketing and finances. We are very thankful of their support and guidance in our ensemble's development.
